Dry Type Transformers

Intermountain Electronics is a manufacturer of state of the art Dry-Type, Power Transformers. Intermountain Electronics can design and build transformers from 50 KVA to 9000 KVA with a voltage range of 120 volts to 13,800 volts.  Most applications are customer defined custom designs.  Intermountain Electronics uses the highest quality materials available combined with a very conserative design standard.  Our manufacturing process uses leading edge technology and equipment unequaled in the manufacturing segment we are in.  We use electronically control automated core cutting equipment as well as automated winding machines with continuous process monitoring.  Our varnishing system uses a vacuum pressure impregnation process that is also automated to insure a consistent high quality insulating system.  We have full testing capabilities that meet all UL, IEEE and ANSI Standards.

Intermountain Electronics also has emergency replacement or repair capabilities. We have a large inventory of transformers in stock available for immediate shipment.  We have rental units available while repairs are being made to the customer’s original equipment.  We have a highly qualified staff of application and design engineers that can help with most applications in normal or emergency situations.
